"I came in with a friend looking to finally purchase my dress. I had gone to DB a few months back and thought I made my decision. The dress I originally wanted was $850, but I didn't want to spend nearly half our wedding budget on a dress! I went back and the sales associate and my friend both agreed this dress showed off my "hourglass" figure that I normally hide with t-shirts.
I am getting married a second time #no children# to a man who's never been married. I knew I didn't want to go with a stark white color, but I wanted something classic, simple, and elegant. This dress is an ivory color with champagne colored threadding.
I wear a size 20 now, but I used to wear a 34.
That being said, I'm always uncomfortable in my own skin-I had gastric bypass surgery 15 months ago. This dress makes me feel beautiful!
I cannot wait for my betrothed to see me as I enter the church on our wedding day!"

"I bought this dress in ivory/champagne. The photo does not do this dress justice. It is so much more than I ever imagined I would be able to have for the price. This is truely a dream dress. I am plus sized and it is very slimming. It also completely covers the bust so no rediculous cleavage over flowing. The train is also very long and dramatic. Perfect!"

"Before I actually got engaged I had tried on a few dresses. This was my first time looking at dresses after I was actually engaged and I knew it was the one (only the second dress I tried on, one of my MOH picked it out). It is absolutely perfect and looks amazing with my skin tone. I love the price too. I cannot wait to see his face when I walk down the aisle... June 2nd 2012. "I too had last min problem with my first dress with almost 30 days to my wedding. I should have came to Davids Bridal FIRST!!... Being plus size I was concerned about even being able to find a dress in time and found this one off the rack needing no alterations!!! This is dress is amazing looks better than this picture. I was worried about a corset top and never knew how amazing it would look!!! I was told this dress was discontinued.. they should really re think that.. its amazing..."

"My expereince with David's Bridal started on an akward note... I was really looking for a bridesmaid dress for my sister and was slightly in panic mode myself since my first choice for a wedding gown (which we'd already put a deposit down on) from another retailer was missing and presumed never ordered. With 3 weeks till my big day and little to no chance of being able to order yet another dress I had to act quikly and find a great dress straight off the rack that fit within my budget.
My consultant was graceous in helping us out on such short notice and helped reassure me that a great dress could be found with a little effort.
After trying a few gowns on, I fell in love with this gown and now I can't imagine myself in the previous gown from that other retailer. This is a perfect dress for accentuating curves in women (like myself) who aren't overly anorexic but heavily obese either. It makes me feel beautiful everytime I try it on and I can't wait for my big day when I can wear it with pride as I walk down the aisle."

What a dress

"I went to David's Bridal with a very small budget for a very small wedding (20 people) and I picked out about 5 dresses that were what I was looking for. White, with straps, and ball gown style. This dress was at the very corner of the store and I almost missed it. I was not looking for anything in the dress aside from the beading but because I wasn't sure the other dresses were going to work and my size was limited I decided to add it to the pile. My consulatant put me in this dress first and it was love at first site. My mom and step mom fell head over heals too. I tried on the rest and got very quick no's from the moms so my step mom called my dad and we went a tiny bit over budget but it was well worth it. I have an alteration fitting soon and I can't wait to put it on again! My future husband is gonna be amazed!"

"THis was my OOPS dress. I was trying on dresses at David's Bridal for the 2nd time, and the consultant I had was covering for MY consultant who was on her lunch break. I was trying on another dress that was too big, and when the gal went to grab the dress I had on in a smaller size, she grabbed this one instead. It was totally NOT something i would pick out (I am not a fan of dresses that open in the front), but i decided to try it on anyway. When i walked out, my family all gasped and when i turned around to see myself in the mirror, i knew it was THE ONE! It gives me such an hour glass figure, and makes me look 30 pounds lighter. It's flattering, and the fact that it has a lace-up back, it can give me the shape i want and need in a dress. I can't wait to walk down the aisle!! I would definately recommend this dress, and get it fast before it's gone for good (Especially at the price it's at now-I wish I had waited just two more weeks). Good luck!!"

"I went into my local David's bridal with a list of dresses to try on... as I was looking through the rack, I found this one, didn't really like the way it looked on the hanger but loved the train on it. After trying on all the ones I thought I would like and didn't, I tried this one on and wow... It is so very flattering. I am short and round, a size 20 and this makes me look amazing. I actually have a waist! I actually feel fabulous wearing this dress. The Ivory\Champagne color really brings out the bead work on the bodice and skirt.
I have my final fitting this afternoon and I can't wait to pick up the dress. Wedding is only 3 weeks away!"

"I ordered this dress online after looking at any/everything in stores, and not finding anything that really tripped my trigger. I tried on a Maggie Sottero "victoriana"..and was blown away..obviously that dress is like 1200.00 so I found the closest possible which was this dress. it fits the same and looks ridiculously awesome. especially on a heavier girl. I wear a 20W and have had 2 boys, and it makes me look like a 12-14 again. I LOVE IT! I cant wait to wear it on my wedding day and will post pictures soon!"

"I am so not a girly girl and this dress is amazing. I tried it on the last dress my first time out and fell tentively in love. Was told that it was a discontinued style and there was only the one dress (one size too small) in any store anywhere. Decided to let fate have it and walked away that day empty handed. God I was glad I did that. The dress just gnawed at my heart and mind, I could not live without it. Ordered online in the right size and it is perfect! Got in in Ivory/Champagne and it is breath taking! The boning makes me look itty bitty when I wear a size 18 dress and 22 jeans. I know his jaw will drop when he sees me on our wedding day. He's got over a year and a half to wait (9/10/11) but it will be well worth it. I highly recomend checking the website even after trying stuff on in the store. Shipping was worth it in the end. I LOVE THIS DRESS!!!"
