"My fiance and I are eloping. I was looking for a somewhat elegant/simple dress. I came upon this dress and INSTANTLY fell in love. I was worried and thought that I was going to be disappointed after trying it on and seeing it in person but after seeing it and trying it on I knew it was the dress for me. The fit was perfect, no alterations were needed and I was the happiest bride EVER! Great dress for a great price!"

"I'm a curvy woman. I purchased this in a size 14, Ivory. After trying on MANY short dresses, I remembered this one from the web site and asked to try it on. It fit me like a glove, hugged all the right places and hid all the "wrong" places. I'm 5'3" so it was a tad long for my taste, fell below my knees. Made an appt to have it hemmed. I tried it on in white, but it was sooooo white I nearly glowed so I ordered the ivory. I was also apprehensive about the jacket's high collar so the saleswoman got me a plain jacket to wear over it #SSTAF also on this website. It looked perfect and I CANNOT wait to wear the dress on 11/11/11. High quality fabric "rouched", with a "boned" style corset top #inside#. Perfect for the curvy woman! Thank you!!!"

"I knew this was the perfect dress once I saw my fiance's face as he saw me walking down the aisle.
I couldn't be happier with the fit and cut of the dress. The cute jacket asbolutely makes the outfit perfect. I wore the dress all day long.

"I was totally googly-eyed over this dress on line! I finally went in to the store to try it on, along with one other dress, and I immediately knew that this was my dress. It is absolutely amazing and looks great on me as well! I am about 145 and 5'4". I got a size 10. I especially love the jacket. As well as a few other brides (I read in the reviews), I too will be pairing this dress with blue high heel shoes, my fiance will be wearing a light gray suit with a matching tie."

"Just wanted to say if you are considering buying this dress, go for it! I bought it for my Vegas wedding and was blown away by how it looked on me. Shows off legs, hides flaws, and looks very vintage. It looks much better on you than it does on the hanger."

"When I got married, I wanted something short, since this is my second wedding. I saw this dress online and knew it was exactly what I wanted. When I tried it on in the store, it was perfect. I am short but I do have some curves, and this dress looked like it was made for me....in fact, that is what everyone said at the wedding when they saw it. I LOVE this dress!"

"This was the perfect dress for my tiny chapel wedding, and the vintage look I had in mind. I was a little worried my husband wouldn't like it, because it's a not exactly a traditional wedding dress, but he LOVED it. I'm 5'11, 145 and the 8 fit me perfectly, no alterations needed. Chose a birdcage veil. I added a blue twisty sash to give it a little more, and kept the collar up because I love the drama! Looks great without the shrug too. Received so many compliments on this dress. Try it on, it will probably surprise you!
Now I just need an excuse to wear it again! :)"

"We had a Vegas wedding but didn't want it to be cheesy. So I made sure to find a pretty dress that I'd be able to walk around and wear all night to go out in and this was the perfect dress. I didn't need any alterations, I wore it right off the rack. If you are looking for an original style to suit your personality this is the dress for you! It's Old Hollywood with a modern twist!"

"This dress was absolutely perfect for a Vegas wedding. It was comfortable and super stylish. I felt like an urban princess! I chose the bird's cage veil which went perfectly with ultra modern yet 40's classic dress and jacket. The jacket is my favorite part- got the best complement EVER from an old boss. He said my dress reminded him of Rachel from Bladerunner (which just happens to be my favorite movie, yeah!). I had to get the arms taken out about 1/4" by the seamstress at Davids, otherwise a size 10 on my 5'5"/154'lb frame fit like a glove!"

"I saw this dress online and fell in love with it. The minute I tried it on, I was sold. It is at a great price point and incredibly flattering. I'm 5'8" tall and curvy, and it totally accentuated my hourglass shape. I had it taken in just a little so it would fit like a glove, but I could have worn it right off the rack without any issues. I had a very small, intimate wedding ceremony and a larger, Rock Band themed reception, and the dress fit the even perfectly. Everyone loved the fun, playful spirit it had."

"I had picked this dress out online before I went into the store to try it on. Once it was on, it fit perfectly and was perfectly priced. "I tried on a million dresses and kept coming back to this one short one! I had alterations tack down half of the ruffle on the jacket so it would not be so high up around my face and it did great!
I got married on 10/10/10 and it was a Perfect Day, a Perfect Groom, Perfect weather, and a Perfect Dress! I have had a million compliments on it. I looked and felt like one Hot Classy Bride!!! Perfect for a mature Bride!"

"I love love this dress!! I got married Novemeber of 2009 and it was just the perfect day with the perfect dress! It fit perfectly, I looked beautiful and it fit just sooo comfortable. Loved that I did not have a long, flowy dress that I would have to be making sure that nobody would step on. It was a worried free dress. The best. "I am having a destination wedding in Jamaica in November and having a local reception for all of our family and friends when we return. I knew I wanted to really stand out and look sexy for my reception. I saw this dress online and knew I had to have it! I sent a message to my bridal party and my mother and told everyone to meet me at the local David's Bridal in Durham, NC later that evening. When I tried the dress on, I loved it even more on than I did in the picture! And, to make the deal even sweeter, it was cheaper in the store than I had seen it advertised online! Needless to say, I purchased it the same day. The following day I purchased a pair of hot pink 5" pumps to wear with it!!! That was over 3 months ago and I cannot wait to "wow" my friends and family in it!"

"I absolutely loooooove this dress! I saw it online and knew it would be perfect for my Las Vegas wedding. I purchased it a few months ago and can't stop trying it on. My wedding is coming soon; I can't wait for my fiance to finally see me in it! I love how the jacket is not attached, so it's like having two outfits in one. (I plan on wearing the jacket to the wedding, then taking it off and letting my hair down for the reception.) I also like how this dress is not very traditional; I can see myself wearing it in the future with colored shoes or boots and a bright jacket or scarf. And the white jacket already looks cute with some other dresses and tank tops I have. I am very excited about this purchase.
My experience at David's Bridal was much better than expected. Earlier in the day I had gone to a little boutique and had mediocre service (at best)...but the staff at DB in West Des Moines was extremely helpful. They seemed to know exactly what I was looking for and they were very accommodating. Going in, I already knew that I was going to purchase this sassy little number (if they had any left!)...but it was a good experience for me to try on other styles, too.
My only regret about this purchase is that I bought it too early...now I just have to shed a few pounds to get back to the weight I was when I bought it a few months ago. Whoops!"

"I loved this dress. We had a very small wedding and our reception was held at a local restaurant. This dress made the transition perfectly from the chapel to our formal meal downtown. Did end up tucking the ruffled collar for a less flashy look. I wish I had gone with a smaller size, but the style was still absolutely flattering with my hourglass figure."

"This dress completely caught me off guard. I was looking for something 40's - 50's era. I had been looking at vintage shops. I was getting ready to walk out of David's Bridal when I saw the poster for this dress. I cried looking at it. I bought the dress in Ivory. It was perfect.
We had a small destination wedding in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. With just our parents and two of my uncles it was perfect. I accented with blue shoes, Aubrey Hepburn hairstyle, and a royal blue flower in my hair.
It fit perfectly the first time I put it on. I love it. If you are looking for something simple and gorgeous I highly recommend this dress. I even wore it to a friends wedding without the jacket and a blue sash around the waist."
