"The picture of this dress does NOT do it justice. I was skeptical when I first saw it but once I put it on I was in love! It hugged in all the right places and the beaded lace is gorgeous. My wedding was a small, intimate chapel/garden wedding and this dress fit the setting perfectly. (Mine is ivory)"

"This was the first dress I tried on and the first one to make me smile!! This dress has gorgeous lace and light beading that sparkles when the light hits it. It's elegant, classy, vintage, and soft. I'm not big on ballgowns or dresses that scream out for attention so this dress was perfect for me. It's simple yet sophisticated. Not to mention very lightweight!! This dress just fit my personality and I can't believe it was under $500!!! I also purchased some simple yet beautiful jewelry to match and a gorgeous veil! Thank you DB!!! You guys are amazing!"

"We are having an outdoor wedding in June so I wanted something simple. All of the dresses that were brought to me were beautiful but made me look short and chubby(I am 5'3" and wear a size 10). I decided to try this one last and it was amazing! It was very slimming and I didn't feel like I would fall out of the top if I bent over. It makes me look taller and is very comfortable to wear! I will say I had to order a size *gulp* 16 to fit my bust. I also added another sash in silver to match the bridesmaids."

"Like most women, I was hoping to find an affordable, yet lovely dress. To be honest, I never expected to pay 500 dollars for my wedding dress! I tried on dozens of more expensive dresses. When I began the whole process I had no idea what style fit me well. I realized pretty early on that I love lace, because I think it just looks "classier" and timeless. It's also very vintage looking. Some of the other dresses are too trendy, and just so unoriginal. The reason I chose this dress was that I'm getting married during the summer, and it will be very very hot! Most other dresses would not fit our outdoor wedding and I'd be sweating. I initially tried it on with a trumpet slip but it took away from the sleekness of the dress. The sash I think is what makes the dress. As far as some of the other reviews that say the sash slips off, now they've added these tiny little loops on the sides of the dress to hold the sash in place! I plan on adding a brooch to the sash and my dress is in Ivory. I will have an over bustle. The fine detail is that it has small, sparkly (but not gaudy) beading that is hard to appreciate in the photos. Overall, this dress is perfect for outdoor photos and weddings in hot weather."

"I bought this dress for my August wedding last year. As soon as I tried it on, both myself and my friends fell in love. I'm 5'8" and the fit was perfect (and you can't beat the price!) We got married on the beach and fabric was light and comfortable and the lace blew beautifully in the breeze. You could wear this dress with a veil and make it look more formal, or wear it with sandals like I did and it is perfect for a beautiful beach wedding. I had mine altered so that it had a sweetheart neckline which gave it a more vintage feel. I also switched out the white sash that it came with for a "sand" colored one that I also bought at David's Bridal. All in all I was very happy and the dress received many compliments - the only downside is you only get to wear it once!"

"I wanted a form fitting, feminine lace gown and all the ones I saw online weren't what I wanted. When I finally went to David's Bridal this was the third dress I tried on and it was Perfect!!!! It's very light and flowy (this is perfect for my May wedding outside!). The lace work on the dress is beautiful and it had just a little bit of sparkle that is perfect ! The only thing I changed was the sash color to Horizon Blue. The picture doesn't do it justice, this is the perfect dress for an outside wedding in the Summer months!!!"

"My advice for all brides-to-be who are currently searching for that perfect dress is...you're looking in the wrong place! All of these dresses look much different in person than they do online so you must make an appointment and actually try them on at the store! Before I picked out this dress I knew that I wanted a long, lacy, form-fitting dress that I wouldn't get too warm in since I'd be getting married on a beach in Maui. Of all the dresses that somewhat fit this description, this one BY FAR fit it the best! And, surprise surprise, this wasn't even one of the dresses that I liked online! If you're also looking for a lighter weight dress, most of the dresses that look lighter weight online are actually fairly thick and heavy in person. This one is definitely NOT thick or heavy! If you're also looking for a more form-fitting dress, this one is great! The ribbon ties right around the smallest part of the waiste, giving you a great shape! No need for spanx! I felt beautiful wearing this dress for my wedding and the whole day turned out perfect!"

"this was the last dress i tried on, and it felt great. super light, not much fabric at all (a lot of dresses have soooo many layers). my only complaint with this dress (making it the reason i didn't get it) was merely that i feel the front didn't flatter my body like some of the other dresses i tried. it's a beautiful dress, and if you have any kind of bottom (i personally have 40inch hips) this dress makes it look great. definitely a dress that could be a bit more on the casual side, but just as easily put on the formal. perfect for whatever you want."

"I got married this week end in Cartagena (Colombia). The dress was absolutely wonderful. It was extremely hot (it was in a old typical house in the old city of cartagena) so no air conditioning, and I kept it on until 3am as I was very comfortable.. I changed into a pair of Toms (wedding collection) and I danced all night long. I bought a Spanx to place under, and the fit was even better, but it's not essential. It also comes out very pretty on profesional photographs. Highly recommended."

"I loved this dress. My husband and I got married in Negril, Jamaica and this dress was perfect. It was very light and comfortable. There is enough structure in the bodice, though, for it to stay up comfortably. I did not give it 5 stars because I would NOT recommend this dress for an indoor wedding or reception. The reason is that the lining is very shiny, and in the few pictures I took indoors, it looked cheap and unflattering. Outdoors, however, it was just beautiful. Also, it is a bit see-through, so be sure to wear nude undergarments, not white."

"I just got home from my destination wedding in Mexico. I was so happy with this dress!! I honestly never thought that I'd buy a David's Bridal dress but I am so glad that I did. First, the price can't be beat. All my friends who bought more expensive dresses said that they wished they had not spent the money (or spent it elsewhere!). The quality of this dress is excellent. Second, I made it "my own" by tailoring it to exactly what I wanted: First, I sweethearted the neckline and removed the neckline lace trim. I also had it tightened around the thighs and a tiny bit of tulle added around the lower legs for more of a mermaid look. I also bought the flower (see picture) for the sash, also from DB. The tailor added bra cups which made it a little more comfortable and I didn't need to wear a bra with it. They also hemmed it, added a bussle, and took it in cause it was a little bit big. (All alterations cost $140 at a separate tailor - not DB's tailor.) Another excellent aspect of this dress is how light-weight and easy it is to travel with. I put it in a tri-folding garment bag with a bunch of other clothes and it was perfect when I hung it up in Mexico. The lace and flowy-ness are very beachy! Ok, if I have to include one bad things, it is that the sash would not stay tied, so you might want to actually sew it tied or something. I kept having bridesmaids run over to re-tie it. I recommend this dress very highly and suggest that you go try it on! Be open minded and remember that tailors can make it perfect for you!"

"My wedding is going to be in the mountains and will be simple yet elegant...this dress says it all. I tried on 8 dresses and this was the first one on the rack I had pulled for me. The ivory color, lace, and subtle sparkle of the sequins make for such a gorgeous look. I tried it on and felt so beautiful. It creates a very slimming look and is very 'flowy' fabric-wise. The lace is just gorgeous and makes for a more classic, yet simple look. I tried on the rest of my dresses but kept thinking back to how beautiful the first one was. I am so happy with my choice. Another bonus is the dress is scheduled to arrive for pickup in only a month!"

"I tried this on expecting not to like it - and I didn't. The lace pattern is somewhat nice, but the dress has sequins all over it, which I felt cheapened its appearance.
The main thing I didn't like was how darn tight it was - very difficult to move. If you're looking for something slim-fitting, give it a shot.
Other possibly helpful info: I'm a size 4, 34B, hourglass figure. Good luck!"
