"I had a very discouraging weekend of dress shopping with all my closets friends and mom. I came to Davids alone and decided to not stress too much and try on the top end designs they had (two Vera Wangs and two Oleg Cassini).
The first two were - eh. Cheaper than others I had seen in NYC but still - eh.
Then I put this on- Oh La La. It's a honest to goodness gown… you know beads and lace and heavy satin… Nothing like I thought you could get at Davids. It was on the upper end of what I wanted to pay…. but then like magic, I put it on and it fit like a glove!
the sweetheart cut is so flattering and the boning on the top fit perfectly on my size B/C cup. The train is stunning lays out in a perfect arch with wonderful detail in silver lace. The attention to construction is amazing with pleated folds in the skirt at the hip, so flattering - like a 1950s hollywood star.
Sold!!
Then I found out it was on Sale! Oh my goodness!
it was reasonably priced to begin with- Now its amazing.
just holding my breath to when it arrives in June.
if you think you might like this dress run don't walk, in case it gets sold out.

"I love this dress. I love how the gown just flows and its form fitting. The beaded and and design of the dress is very glamorous. I have been shopping for months looking around shopping online and then I went to just try this dress on and I fell in love. My maid honor, mom and sister said done looking this is it. So I bought it. When my fiancee see's me for the first time I know he is going to tear up. Cause this dress tops all dresses really."

"My future husband is a Marine so I needed a gown that could out shine his blues. Let me tell you! This gown is the most breathe-taking gown I have ever seen! I feel like royalty in this gown!!! I did a double skirt with the fullest skirt I could buy, and then to lift the train I did a royal bussell. It looks like Cinderella's gown! I got mine in white and no one in the store had ever seen it in white and it is stunning! It was so sweet because the alterations lady had all the consultants come in a see the gown because it was so stunning. I felt like David's really cared about the way I felt in the gown and it gave me an ego boost. haha I feel the way I wanted to feel on my wedding day! Beautiful, and like royalty. Plus the fabric is sooo soft and the beading is soo detailed! The beading not only covers the bottom half of the gown and all the train but the whole bodice. I fell in love! I know I will stand out in every picture and in years to come I will always love my gown. It truly is worth every penny! It will make you feel more beautiful then you have ever felt before. I would recommend this gown to everyone!"

"i just bought this dress today! i am sooo excited. i went to DB once before and found some pretty dresses, then tried on a bunch more from the designer stores and yes they were all beautiful. I just could not make up my mind. today i went into my appointment with my parents and maid of honor. my mother pointed this dress out in the catolog and said this is how she pictured me looking. i was doubtful. my mother is a master seamstress and has been around the higher end and specialty clothes for a long time. i tried this dress on in a 6, im a 4, the effect im sure will be the same. breathtakingly romantic, lush, grand, elegant,and traditional all at the same time. i got the dress in champagne/ivory and i am so pleased. the mikado material is just what i needed for a may wedding in upstate ny. i wanted to look grand but not feel wieghed down, and the lush and elegant look of heavy satin is sooo the way to go for a wedding. the mikado offers the same lush look of satin but much much lighter. i got the biggest poofiest slip and low profile tiara. stunning. my maid of honor said "u look like the cover of modern bride". love it!"

"On my first trip to David's, I was almost clueless as to what I wanted. My store rep pulled out this dress and it was the first one I put on...and it felt AMAZING! It took my breath away and everyone in the store thought it was perfect for my height and slender build. I have seen so many dresses at bridal shows and nothing has compared to how I feel about this dress. It is gorgeous and I can't wait for my September 1st wedding to feel like a princess! :) Not to mention how excited I get every time I see the picture of it in the magazines and in the store! :)"

"I tried this dress on after feeling uncomfortable with the dress I originally bought from DB. When I saw it I instantly fell in love. I'm not a ballgown girl but this one is so romantic. I bought it in ivory/champagne and as soon as I tried it on I didn't want to take it off. The detail in the flowers is so beautiful. It definitely goes with the vintage romantic theme for my wedding. I can't wait to show it off on my wedding day! I was also against having a bustle but when they bustled it for me it was absolutely stunning! August 10, 2012...please come soon!"

"I love, love, love this dress! My mom saw it on display from literally across the room and pointed it out to me. I tried it on and I did not want to take it off. It was love at first site, but not for my wallet. It was double my original budget. I went to 6 different places all over NC looking for something to top it in my price range. I must have tried on over 70 different dresses in all. I did not find it. I gave in and bought my dream dress. I will be wearing this beautiful dream dress when I marry my best friend. Can’t wait!"

"This is my second time at DB. At the first I came to the store I bought the other dress but I wasn't 100% happy with the dress. So, I came back to the store to try dresses one last time to make sure everything is right. The dress is breath taking!!! I do love it so much. It make me feel like a bride and a princess. "This dress is amazing. It is the first dress that I tried on and was my favorite, by far, until the alterations lady brought me the dress that I actually got. Anyway, the fabric on this one is awesome, it has a thicker feel, so would be fabulous for fall/winter. The contrast of the flowers is gorgeous, and I absolutely loved the way they bustled it when I tried it on. The folds on the front & sides are extremely flattering. If this had been my dress, we had it all set with the alterations lady to put hidden pockets in the very front folds (there was a seam inside of that fold). That would have been awesome! :) LOVED this dress :)"

"I haven't pulled the trigger on this gown yet, but I have to say I do keep coming back to it..It has a very nice true to size fit and is very flattering..I am an older bride and this is the second time around for me, but I have decided that although I'm a bit older that it's never to late to want to feel beautiful... I am having a Disney World Wedding with all the trimmings and this gorgeous gown fits the theme perfectly without being to princessy, it is elegant and sophisticated while being gorgeously fun and flirty ..and it looks like a very expensive dress..If I do get this one it will b in the ivory color It is so rich and luxurious..for any age ..try it on and I think you will agree..:)"

"I was very worried that when I was going to try on DB's gowns that they would look cheap but this gown proved me wrong. It was so rich and beautiful that I'm sure my guests will think I paid over $5000 for it. It made me look thin even though I am a plus size bride. This dress is amazing and I cant stop thinking about it."

"What an Amazing dress! I never thought I'd find myself wearing a ball gown style because I thought it would be too frilly and disney princess but this dress is anything but. It is elegant and just enough details to really make a statement.
The fit is true to size where most other dresses typically run a bit small. I'm 5'5 and it is a little too long even with 3 inch heels so if you are a taller lady this dress works well."

"This dress is gorgeous! I tried it last week when I had my appointment and I knew right as I was walking towards the mirrors this was the dress. It has just the perfect fit and leaves me breathless.
